Description
Saint Vernier is a cheese created by the Jean Perrin factory located near Besancon, Jura. It’s a wonderful creamy cheese with a washed rind with the local white sauvignon wine and aged for a few months in the cellar. St Vernier has a lovely silky texture and a powerful, yet subtle taste.
The flavour of the cheese is extremely rich and soft; it has a delicate sherry-like flavour and when you cut the cheese it is so creamy and soft it runs for your crackers.
Try with a piece of crust bread and a full-bodied red wine from Burgundy.
