Description
Mont D'or or Vacherin is a specialty seasonal only cheese.. It is named after Mont d'Or, the famous 'Golden Mountains' in the Jura region. A gooey, runny, sticky soft cheese, this is one of the few cheeses eaten with a spoon. It comes wrapped in spruce bark and only 11 factories in Jura can produce it.
Traditionally eaten at warm room temperature or gently heated in the oven for 10 minutes to spoon out when warm and runny. Eat with a spoon straight from the original wooden box or eat with a fresh baguette.
