Pont l'Eveque Graindorge 1.5kg
Description
Pont l’Eveque is probably the oldest Norman cheese still in production. Its origins trace back to the 12th century but it was only in the 17th century that it took its name from the village where it was made.
Pont l’Eveque is a square shaped cheese, with a light orange rind. It is a firm cheese, with a creamy, salty and pungent aroma. The rind is moist and ochre in colour, typical of washed rind cheeses. The body is creamy yellow, fine-textured and rich.
Try Pont l’Eveque with crusty baguette and a fresh Norman Cider or a red wine from Burgundy. This small version of Pont l Eveque is perfect for cheese platters.
